On July 20th, with just one week of summer vacation left for my mom, the kids and I drove up to Brentwood to play for a couple days. And what fun we had!
Unfortunately my dad was traveling out of town for most of the week, but my Mom dedicated the entire 5 days to us! We were totally spoiled and loved having Gram all to ourselves!
Madi was excited about having Gram's American Girl doll, Gracie all to herself! The kids all wanted to have a "twin" to dress up like. Cal cracked me up with wanting to be twins with Pete the Cat.
Gram planned lots of fun things for us to do everyday.

Madi asked me if I'd ever gone underwater before. Made me sad to realize that while I always get in the water with my kids, I never really swim with them. It was nice to have mom there to help with Cal so I could have some underwater races with Madi.
Even with all the stuff Gram planned, all the kids really wanted to do was hang out. Everything about Gram and Papa's house is an adventure - like sleeping in the trailer. . .

The blow up pool is surprisingly always a huge hit! Madi was in the hot tub most of the time though (can't believe I never took a picture) - she'd be in there for hours at a time!
Gram's costume box provides hours of entertainment too!
It was a different costume each day - sometimes several costume changes a day!

Wednesday morning Gram took us out to the orchards to pick peaches (Brentwood's peaches are Spencer's absolute favorite)!
Then a couple days later mom taught me how to can those peaches! I felt like the luckiest girl coming home with 14 quarts of canned peaches to stock my shelves with!

Madi was awake by the time we got home and wanted to take a little spin!
Papa got home from work travels Thursday night and had some time to play on Friday. so my parents took the kids to the new Minions movie Friday afternoon, giving me time to do some shopping and packing.
Thanks so much mom and dad for the great week! It's always such a treat to come home - to be able to relax, and feel like a kid again!
