Christmas was absolutely perfect this year! Aside from the girls waking up at an insanely early hour, I couldn't have been happier about how everything turned out. We did simple, but practical gifts - really only things we knew the kids needed, really really wanted, or would get great use out of.
The cookie plate, grass for the reindeer, and Santa letters were the first to be checked by the girls.

Santa brought perfect gifts - not too much and only useful things.
Elle got her first bike, Cal got a balance bike, and Madi got her first sewing kit.
Favorite cereal tradition has been carried on in our family for Christmas morning breakfast!
Madi got the game she loves to play at school and has been begging us for.
The one thing Cal really really wanted this year was a "shooter gun" which Santa was nice enough to bring him!
Elle really wanted matching jammies for her and Julie. She also got her sparkly high heels that she asked for.
Madi wanted a matching outfit for her and Caroline!
She also got new basketball shoes which she didn't know she really really wanted!
A new wet suit was also a fun surprise for her!
The gift of the day was definitely a new swing for our backyard!!
Can't believe we waited so long to get one of these!
It made my day watching our kids have so much fun taking turns on the swing!

SO many more perfect gifts were opened . . . I could go on and on. I got a new body for my camera which unfortunately was the LAST gift I opened, so none of my Christmas pictures are good quality.
We actually were only able to open about three-fourths of our presents before it was time to join Boppi, Grandpa Al, the Terry and Jenkins families for brunch and gift exchanging.
Boppi made the girls new dresses with jackets for their American Girl dolls. So awesome!
Then we headed back home to finish unwrapping all our presents. Later that afternoon we joined Jeremy and Tanna's family at the beach! It was super windy and cold, but nice to get out. I love that we're able to go tot he beach on Christmas day!
