A few of the new things that Madi has experienced this past month include:1) Eating PB&J- which she doesn't seem to love as much as I did as a kid. I usually end up finishing Madi's sandwich since I can't bare to see such a delicacy go to waste!
2) Tuna- I was told to wait on this one, anyone know why?? Madi sure loves it though!
3) First fever-luckily it was a mild, low-grade one and went away within 12 hours thanks to Motrin!
4) First tumble down the stairs. She's quite fast at going up the stairs but doesn't understand how to turn around and go down backwards!
5) TEETH (not just a tooth anymore)!! Madi's now up to 2 bottom front teeth with her 2 top fangs beginning to come through!
6) Riding in Grandpa Al's scout with the top off! She seemed to enjoy the scenery and the wind blowing in her face!
7) Using utensils when eating. She's taken bites with a spoon and fork and is currently working on mastering chopsticks!!
Madi still finds all fours as her preferred mode of transportation. She stands completely on her own, and stands up by herself, but as soon as she wants to move, she drops to her knees to get around. I'm wondering if I should try to hold her off on walking until AFTER our flight back home in 3 weeks. I've heard that flying with a toddler can be VERY exhausting! Even with all the new things Madi's experienced this past month, MY favorite things about the month are:
1) She now gives me kisses when I ask for them! She'll even make the smooch sound to add emphasis on the kiss!
2) Cuddling at bedtime- after stories she'll lay her head down on my shoulder and let me scratch her back while I sing stories!
3) Crawling after me calling, "mama, mama"! I've loved that she finally acknowledges me as her mother! It's about time!

Thats funny after each new thing that Madi's doing i seriously thought AWWWWWW!!!! Then id get to the next one and AWWWWWWW! ANd YES YOU SHOULD do monthly updates! Until shes like 30 and has 3 kids and she old enough to have her OWN blog!!! =) I seriously wish she were here to play! Lexi would LOVE Madi!!!! She does the same thing as far as standing and then crawling!!! Lexi hasnt mastered free standing tho!! They would have fun crawling around though!!!!!! DANG!!!
Wow, she is getting so big! You need to come back here so it won't be so obvious how much we are missing. :)
Continue with the monthly updates as long as you want! I've read blogs that do them for their 5 year old.

Reina doesn't really dig PB&J either, which is so weird. How can you not like a childhood staple?!?
Yes definitely try to hold off the walking. Our 1 hour plane ride with brooklyn was miserable. She just wants to get off my lap and run around. Madi is getting so old looking, definitely more like a toddler and less like a baby. She seems very advanced for her age!
I say push her down if she starts walking! Once she can walk, she will be running within 3 days! Life as you know it will be over. But then I told you to push her down when she started crawling =). Come home!
There's nothing better than "momma!!" She is adorable!
I love hearing all about how Madi's changing! Keep it up! I love that thoughtful pose next to the fence. So grown up! And mastering chopsticks? Wow!
Anie so good to hear what you've been up to- it feels like a while since I've been connected because of all the craziness. Madi is adorable, wow. You are the cutest mom, I love it!
oh my gosh...I love love love that girl! Can't wait to snuggle her. Maybe I will get lucky and she will let me tickle her back and sing to her at bed time!!! big kisses from auntie jen!!!
oh my gosh--how did you get madi to pose like that next to the fence--with the pearls on???? that was the cutest picture ever. i think you need to put it up in the house when you get home :o)
