What an action packed couple of weeks it's been here in Camarillo!! We've been having non-stop cousin fun! The Terry boys arrived in Camarillo on the 8th and since Lindsay hasn't moved out here yet I've been helping out with watching the boys while Shaun's at work. Since we've never had the pleasure of living close to cousins, this has been a HUGE treat for my kids! Even better, Tanna and her kids got into town on the 9th and stayed for two weeks!
Just a few of the things we've been up to . . .
* Sydney came for a sleepover on the 11th. She was able to walk Madi to school with us on the 12th, and then attend Elle's preschool graduation that afternoon. Then she stuck around even longer to help with Calvin while I had a Patriotic singing practice to lead (that's for another post)!
* Eric and Tyler got to celebrate Madi's last day of school with us on the 13th.
* Evan came for a sleepover one night just so he could wake up and play legos with Uncle Spencer! And sure enough, he was the first one awake the next morning so Spencer dragged himself out of bed to play legos at 6am!
* Three weeks of Sunday dinners with lots of cousins to play with!
* Eric and Sydney baby-sat while Spencer and I had our outing at the Magic Castle. Madi said they were such good babysitters that she paid them a quarter each!! Then they stayed over night for sailing the next morning!
* Austin came home with us after a morning of sailing to play legos while Cal napped. Unfortunately the girls were at it with each other (fighting, kicking, screaming, etc), so Austin didn't get to experience happy, fun Aunt Anie like the other kids have. Sorry Austin!
* We've had Eric and Tyler at our house for the past 3 Mondays, 2 Tuesdays, and 1 Friday. We've done park outings, splash pad, swimming, library trips, story time, crazy crafts, board games, relay races, picnic lunches, popsicles, and much more.
Even though they've started acting more like brothers and sisters than cousins, there's something so special about the cousin relationship - one that I've always cherished. I'm excited about all the memories we're going to be able to create with cousins living here now!
And we're looking forward to our Jenkins family reunion coming up next month, with lots more of this crazy kind of fun - plus 5 more cousins! It's gonna be awesome!

I still love that picture of Eric and Cal reading- so sweet! And I love that Spencer played Legos with Evan at 6 in the morning! What a great uncle!! Can't wait to join the cousin fun...just 12 days!!
